In order to make your gift basket purchase as smooth and efficient as possible, we have compiled some of the most frequently asked gift basket questions that our customer service department receives on a regular basis. Are taxes and delivery included in the gift basket price shown?
No... taxes and delivery are extra and will be added to the price of the gift basket upon checkout. To calculate the total price of a gift basket, simply add the basket to the cart (you are under no obligation to continue with the purchase) and select your shipping destination. Click the recalculate button and your total price with delivery and taxes included will be shown. If you would like to continue with the purchase, add your enclosure card message and click the continue button. If you would like to exit without purchasing simply exit the cart or change the quantity in the cart to zero and click the recalculate button. This will empty the cart and you can browse or price other items by clicking the return to Innovative Gift Baskets button.

When will my basket be shipped?
All in stock gift baskets will ship same day if ordered no later than 12:00pm EST. Shipping on the same day does not mean that the basket will be delivered on the same day.UPS deliveries take 1 - 6 days for delivery depending on the delivery location so the earliest delivery date via UPS would be the next business day for Toronto and surrounding areas and MAJOR cities in Ontario and Quebec. Orders placed after 12:00pm will ship on the next business day

Do you offer same day delivery?
We currently do not offer a regular same day delivery service, however, we do have a number of couriers that we can contact should an in stock basket have to be delivered on the same day. As this is not a regular service, orders MUST be called in to check on the availablility of the same day delivery service option. Same day service is ONLY available on orders placed by 10:00am for the Mississauga and Toronto areas at a rate of $25.00/basket.

Do you offer shipping discounts on muliple gift baskets being sent to a single address?
Yes, we do ! Multiple gift baskets being shipped to a single address qualify for a substantial discount on shipping. The only drawback is that our shopping cart does not calculate the discount for you. You may wish to call our customer care centre to place your multiple order OR simply email your gift basket requirements to order@innovativegiftbaskets.ca and we will be more than happy to provide a delivery quote for you.

Is your shopping cart secure? I am worried about using my credit card online.
We have been asked this question many times and the answer is yes ... our shopping cart is secure. When an item is added to your cart , the initial page with the gift basket details and the following page with your name and address and recipient information are general pages. No credit card information is collected on these pages. Once completed and you click the proceed to payments page, you are directed to a secure page to add your billing information. This can be verified by the little lock that will appear at the bottom right of your screen to show that you are at a secure page. Innovative Gift Baskets does NOT use a third party processor to authorize credit card payments, therfore, your information will not be transferred to another site for final approval.

Can I purchase a custom gift basket?
Of course!, we welcome your ideas and would love to have the opportunity to turn your suggestions into a heartfelt gift for your recipient. Custom gift basket arrangements start at $75.00 and increase in increments of $25.00. As custom gift baskets do take longer to prepare, we ask that 1-2 days lead time for single orders and 2-4 days lead time for larger orders be provided. Do you offer a diabetic gift basket line?
Currently we do not have a specific line for diabetics. We do have many clients with diabetic recipients choose one of our Fruit Baskets as an alternative.

Can I add a bottle of wine or champagne to a gift basket?
Due to LCBO regulations, we cannot add alcohol to a gift basket or ship a basket containing alcohol with our couriers. A great alternative is to add an LCBO gift card to your basket so your recipient can choose their own favorite label or brand whenever they choose. Gift cards can be purchased in denominations of $25, $50 and $100 and never expire. A $5.00 service fee applies to all gift card purchases. Please contact us at 1-866-228-6410 to have an LCBO gift card added to your gift basket.

Do you ship gift baskets into the United States?
Due to the US Bioterrorism Act, Innovative Gift Baskets only offers delivery of our baby gift baskets into the United States. Baskets shipped into the USA are also tax exempt. If you would like to have a food gift basket shipped to the United States, simply give us a call and we can arrange to have one of our affiliates prepare and deliver a gourmet gift basket for you.

Can I return a gift basket?
Due to health and safety regulations, any gift baskets containing food products cannot be returned. If a food gift basket should arrived damaged, please contact us for a return verification number. Gift baskets will not be accepted for return without a verification number. Please note that ALL contents must be returned with the basket unless only a specific item requires replacement. Credits or replacements will NOT be issued unless the gift basket is returned to our facility for inspection.

Do you substitute products or containers in baskets?
Under certain circumstances it may be neccesary to substitute an item in a gift basket but the quality and presentation of the basket will not be compromised. Any substitutions will be made with products of equal or greater value. Containers may be substituted with those of equal or greater value in rare circumstances only.

Other gift basket companies offer free or reduced shipping. Why don't you?
In essence, what free shipping really means is that the price of shipping is calculated into the price of the gift basket. At Innovative Gift Baskets, we believe that the quality of the products that we use and the selections available at all price points are of greater value than using lower quality or minimal products in a basket and using free shipping as a marketing strategy.
